Merger clearance of MACH acquisition

Vasil Kisil & Partners has successfully represented Syniverse (USA) and MACH (Luxembourg) in the course of acquisition of MACH by Syniverse.

Syniverse and MACH are both providers of technology services to telecommunication companies. Syniverse makes mobile work for more than 900 mobile operators, cable and Internet providers, and enterprises in more than 160 countries. MACH connects and monetizes the telecom world with its comprehensive and growing portfolio of cloud-based communication services, providing its 650 operator customers with mission-critical solutions to monetize mobile data, simplify interoperability between networks, optimize wholesale processes and protect revenues.

The merger combined the first and the second largest provider of GSM Data Clearing services and NRTRDE services globally and, in Europe, in particular.

Vasil Kisil & Partners advised clients regarding Ukrainian competition legislation and acted for the clients before the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine in the process of in-depth investigation of the case on concentration. Permit for the economic concentration was conditionally granted by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.

The transaction was also subject to in-depth investigation and conditions imposed in the European Union.
