Vasil Kisil & Partners’ Business Development Director Alexander Chapko participates in the UAPR academy’s “PR about investments” session

On 26th of July, 2008 a scheduled UAPR academy’s session took place at the National University of "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" (NUKMA). Among its participants were well-known PR professionals, including Marina Starodubska, VKP’s BD Director Alexander Chapko and Ganna Gorbenko, «Avant Capital»’s managing partner.

Country’s business community was represented by «KADE Group», «Financial Solutions Center» (“Tsentr finansoviyh risheni”), «Central Production Ukraine», «АРТА Capital», «Upras Capital», «ТСК Group», «KEY Communications», «Nords PR Ukraine» and other companies that attended in the interactive session.

The session was open by Mrs. Starodubska who talked about the concept of “Investor Relations” and why companies need IR. Marina went into detail explaining the difference between IR and PR as far as their target audience, segmentation and means to measure their effectiveness are concerned. She then outlined communication specifics for attracting private equity investments.

Alexander Chapko touched upon the IR practice from the investment companies’ point of view. He talked about the distinguishing features of the investment business, the nuances of putting together its IR strategy and pointed out IR’s main activity areas and tasks.

Session was closed by Ganna Gorbenko who reported on main global financial markets, Іnvestor Relations & Financial PR. Ganna talked about IR’s main instruments and goals giving some practical advice on communication with mass media and investors.
