Vasil Kisil & Partners advised DUPD on acquisition of cottage project from Global Solutions

In early April 2008 Dragon-Ukrainian Properties & Development Plc. (DUPD) officially announced the acquisition of a project from a local Kyiv land developer Global Solutions, which entails the development of an upscale residential cottage community in Vita Poshtova, 9 km from Kyiv with transaction price reaching $ 14 million. Total land area for development constitutes 31.9 hectare, wherein DUPD acquires freehold of 16.2 ha and 49-years leasehold of 15.7 ha.

Vasil Kisil & Partners acted as a legal advisor to DUPD on overall due diligence of the project. Vasil Kisil & Partners team performed legal investigation of project holding entity, land freehold and leasehold titles to respective parts of the project, status of design documentation, etc., evaluated the encumbrances, limitations and other transaction-triggering restrictions of the project and provided full-scale risk analysis of the proposed transaction scheme.
