Natalia Mykolska, an Associate with Vasil Kisil & Partners, Comments on the Key Myths Promoted by Ukrainian Mass Media with Respect to Ukraine's Accession to the WTO

On April 8, 2008, LigaBusinessInform Press Center (Kyiv) hosted a regular meeting of the Legal Press Club devoted to the Legal Aspects of Ukraine's Accession to the WTO. Vasil Kisil & Partners, in conjunction with Arzinger & Partners, was a partner of this initiative.
Natalia Mykolska, an associate with Vasil Kisil & Partners, delivered a speech at the meeting of the Legal Press Club. Its topic was 'WTO and Ukraine's Accession to the WTO: Myths and Reality (Legal Aspects).' Mrs Mykolska analyzed the 2008 publications of the leading Ukrainian mass media, listed a set of the most popular myths regarding prospects and risks associated with Ukraine's accession to the WTO and commented on them from the standpoint of law.
The meeting of the Legal Press Club was also attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, leading lawyers and experts in international law. They discussed the priorities relating to the preparation of Ukraine's accession to the WTO and related legal aspects.
The Legal Press Club was created to update the journalists on the legal information and provide an expert opinion on the most significant social and political events in Ukraine.
