Alpcot Agro – acquisition of Landkom Group

On 27th of January 2012 Alpcot Agro AB, a Sweden-based agricultural company, has announced the completion of the transaction to acquire the entire share capital of Landkom International PLC ("Landkom") with a landbank of 74,000 ha and a developed agricultural business operating in 7 regions of Ukraine. The acquisition value is about SEK 140 million, which equals to approximately GBP 12.97 million. As a result of the mentioned transaction Alpcot Agro became a global agricultural company with almost 280,000 hectares of controlled land across Russia and Ukraine. In course of the acquisition Alpcot has also undertook a capital raise of ca USD 20 million by means of additional share issue at NASDAQ First North in Stockholm.
