Vasil Kisil & Partners advised the Ukrainian Leadership Academy on establishing the first free boarding school in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Leadership Academy (UAL), a leading Ukrainian educational institution, has launched UAL Boarding High School - the first free boarding school for high school students in Ukraine.

The school is based at the I. Franko Ternopil Academic Lyceum "Ukrainian Gymnasium." Thirty-three 10th-grade students from across Ukraine and abroad have already started their studies, combining the lyceum’s academic curriculum with UAL’s intensive personal and leadership development program.

Students live in a modern campus under constant supervision, participate in volunteer and sports projects, educational expeditions, and meetings with thought leaders, and receive psychological support, mentorship, and valuable teamwork experience.

Vasil Kisil & Partners’ legal team advised UAL on models of organizing the school’s activities, necessity to obtain an educational license, legal structuring of premises use, involvement of teachers and assistants, as well as the specifics of concluding employment and civil-law agreements with them. Special attention was given to the organization of financing, in particular, through charitable mechanisms, as well as to the legal regulation of extracurricular activities, educational excursions, and the modernization of the school’s material and technical base.
