Dispute over termination of a contract and recovery of compensation, penalties and damages

Representing an international media company managing a number of television channels in Central and Eastern Europe in a dispute with a Ukrainian subsidiary of a large Russian advertising holding company over an early termination of a contract providing for exclusive rights to place advertisements on Ukraine's leading national television channel.

The subject matter of the principal case was the lawfulness of the early termination of the contract and the recovery of related compensation, penalties and loss of profit. The court decision in this case was issued in favor of our client and was further upheld by the court of appeals and the Superior Commercial Court of Ukraine.
