A new "Auchan Zorianyi" in Dnipro has joined this spring 2018 the Auchan hypermarket chain in Ukraine. That superstore of about 3,500 m2 of retail space is located in the Dafi Shopping and Entertainment Center.
Vasil Kisil & Partners acted as legal advisor to Auchan Ukraine on obtaining the lease of the premises. Before deciding on the location for the supermarket, the firm’s lawyers conducted a legal due diligence review of the shopping and entertainment center, its owner, the land plot, and agreements and liabilities related thereto. After Auchan decided to enter the deal, Vasil Kisil & Partners’ lawyers drafted the lease agreement for the premises in compliance to the Auchan's requirements to transactions of such kind.
Vasil Kisil & Partners’ real estate team, including Alexander Borodkin, partner, Roman Riabenko and Anatoliy Pashynskyi, associates, advised on the deal.
The Auchan store chain, which is owned by Groupe Auchan SA, a company headquartered in France, is among the top 13 world's leading food retailers with a presence in 17 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. In Ukraine, Auchan is present in 9 regional centers.
Dafi Construction and Investment Company is engaged in commercial real estate and owns two shopping and entertainment centers under the same name in Kharkiv and Dnipro. The total floor area is more than 100,000 m2. The shopping and entertainment center in Dnipro, with area of 20,000 m2, was put into operation in November 2005.
